the legendary effort to keep that style alive
"Fabulous rockabilly with a hillbilly spice from the 1990s. While listening you will get an excellent joy thanks to its wonderful blend of casualness and amazing sense of taste and style. "Sick Sober And Sorry" CD contains many songs that have a very mellow tone and pleasant sound, there are also some 'serial killer' tracks like "I'm Heading Out" (probably one of only three tracks with drums) and even eclectic ones like "Cattin Tonight". And this is in addition to the general rustic touches, ease, real rockin' at its best and the essence of the fifties (and old-time tunes as such). When there are no drums, there is more happiness and placidity of the music's countryside. When with them or the track is just dynamic and energetic, there is a huge flavour of feelings. Mighty emotions with a glowing ardor. Also many compositions, so to speak, can resemble each other and so create a rather characteristic manner of the band. The tunes are filled with encouraging rhythms, atmospheric melodies.. and all is a somewhat friendly and countrified. Wonderful. It may not be the most outstanding music album, but I found it appealing. And I like it. There are nice quality, aesthetic feel and a very fine concept. A subtle diversity too. That leaves no room for calling the recordings uninteresting, even if you can't listen to everything at once without losing your excitement. I think that you can easily find some songs here - which would be indicative and will make you fall in love with the band" smed28 - 22 January 2022
